Residents of Beeston’s award-winning sustainable development, Greenhouse, recently supported the annual Earth Hour event by revelling in the simplicity of going back to basics.
Turning their lights off for the evening, the Greenhouse community joined non-residents to join in on the fun by playing board games, a pub quiz and other fun activities.
More than 5,200 cities and towns in 135 countries worldwide switched off their lights for Earth Hour 2011, sending a powerful message for action on climate change.
