CEG, the owners of the iconic Temple Works in Holbeck, are to hold two information drop in sessions to share the work they’ve been doing at the building in the year since they bought it.
The Grade I listed former flax mill was due to be sold at auction for as little as £1 before CEG stepped in and secured the building. CEG are developing a number of schemes in the area on Globe Road and Water Lane.
In the last 12 months CEG have thoroughly survey the building as well as carrying out urgent works to make it watertight. They have also investigated the building’s history, heritage and archaeology.
CEG has spent £1 million on the project so far and refurbishment of the building will cost several tens of millions more. They admit that they don’t have the answers to the long term future of Temple Works, but are keen to share what they’ve learned so far.
The two drop in events take place on Wednesday 20 March 2019:
- 10:30am-12pm at The Holbeck, Jenkinson Lawn, LS11 9QX
- 3:30-7:30pm at the Northern Monk Refectory, Marshall’s Mill, LS11 9YJ
