Members from across the Beeston community joined the congregation at Abu Huraira Mosque for a community Iftar – the
breaking of the fast – on Sunday (26 May 2019).
Muslims observe a dawn to dusk fast during the holy month of Ramadan, broken each evening at Iftar.
Ramadan is also a time for self-reflection, prayer and charitable works. Ramadan is followed by the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr
which is due to fall on Tuesday 5 June (depending on sightings of the moon).
