Bradley cooks up a Yorkshire Day feast at Greenhouse

Deli collageThe Greenhouse on Beeston Road is inviting guests to dinner, as their new on-site chef turns the Greenhouse Deli into a pop up restaurant for the night, to cook up a feast for Yorkshire Day on 1st August.

Celebrating great local food, from passionate Yorkshire suppliers, 18 year-old Bradley Dunhill is planning an evening of fine food showcasing local suppliers alongside his own family recipes.

Bradley, who joined Greenhouse earlier this year thanks to an enterprise scheme run by Greenhouse developers Citu, is now in full flow of running his own business at the award-winning sustainable development, building on his training from Leeds City College and experience at The Food Academy at Flannels.

He has been treating the residents of Greenhouse and locals in Beeston to fine flavours, and hearty home cooked food for the last few months and is now keen to showcase his a la carte catering skills to even more food lovers, with this fine dining evening.

Offering a range of 3, 4, or 6 course options the menu is to feature pea and mint volute, using produce from Greenhouse’s allotment, local succulent lamb, and a luxurious chocolate and cherry desert – made from a secret family recipe. Vegetarian options are also available on request.

Bradley said: “I love to see people experience new flavours and I love to have a bit of fun with food. The Greenhouse pop up restaurant is intended to give people a chance to try something new and experiment with fine food, at prices that make it do-able. I’m really proud to be from Yorkshire and believe we have some great ingredients on our doorstep.

I’m looking forward to sharing some great food, using fantastic ingredients from across our region, with some new faces”.

This is an open event, for anyone to attend (not just Greenhouse residents).

Three courses is charged at £18, four courses is £24 and six courses is £36. Guests are invited to bring their own wine and Bradley is more than happy to cater for individual dietary requirements.

Aisling Ramshaw, from Citu said: “This is exactly what Greenhouse is all about. Bringing people together to enjoy something new, but in a friendly, relaxed, welcoming environment.  We hope people will get behind Brad and support him – he’s a great young talent to come out of our region”.
