A local history group has launched a new website chronicling the history of Middleton.
Middleton Life group, which is made up of local history buffs, has launched its new website to highlight some of their work, which includes a permanent exhibition at Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre. Group members are currently working towards putting out a new publication on ths history of Middleton and a possible Middleton history archive of important documents and publications.
The website also features a timeleine of Middleton’s history and a series of articles by group members on Middleton’s rich history, from mining in the park to recent recollections of the Tivoli Cinema and the Middleton Arms.
