Hunslet Festival returns on Saturday (13 June 2026) and this year it’s set to be the biggest, brightest and most joyful celebration yet.
Held each June on the Church Street/Grove Road field, the festival has become a real highlight of the Hunslet calendar.
Families, neighbours and friends come back year after year for the buzzing atmosphere, packed activities and the unmistakable sense of community pride.
What’s new for 2026: Thanks to brilliant feedback from 2025, we’re building on everything people loved — and adding even more. One major upgrade: four huge inflatables from Happy Bouncers, fully staffed and free for all children all day.
The field will be bursting with hands‑on fun, including:
- Climbing wall from Herd Farm
- Circus skills workshops with Rapide Entertainment
- Animal encounters with Purple Pig Farm
- Interactive arts and play with Yorkshire Contemporary
- A special hands‑on display from the Royal Armouries
- Free bike repairs from The Big Bike Fix
- Youth Bus and activities from Leeds Youth Service
- Police van and kit try‑on with West Yorkshire Police
- Fire engine visit from Hunslet Fire Station — with the chance to sit in the cab, try on uniform and even sound the siren
Expect a full day of high‑energy entertainment from professional performers and local groups — dance, live music, choirs and a sports showcase bringing talent centre‑stage. Children can try out a range of sports, including roller skating, skateboarding, cricket, rugby and more. A vibrant mix of community groups, makers and traders will be dotted across the field, offering something for everyone.
It’s shaping up to be an action‑packed, feel‑good day for all ages. Bring your family, friends and neighbours and celebrate everything that makes Hunslet special.
