The next meeting of the Belle Isle and Middleton Together group, which aims to challenge Far Right groups such as the EDL and the BNP in the Middleton Park ward has been announced.
Local resident Pat Scrivins says:
“This is a new organisation which is aiming to bring together people from the community from all backgrounds, to highlight the positives of the area and to challenge the popularity of far right groups and ideas within the area.
“If you would like to join us we will be meeting at the South Leeds Youth Hub, which is on Middleton Road Ls10 3JA, on the site of the old Merlyn Rees High School on Wednesday 7 December at 7.30 pm.“We very much hope to see you there.”
