Local Scout leader Heather Forster was presented with a special award to mark her service over many years.
Heather leads the Cubs and is Group Lead Volunteer for the 1st South Leeds & Morley (Beeston) group, which meets at St Andrew’s Community Centre.
Commenting on the award, the District Leadership Team said:
“The Medal of Merit is a prestigious honor which recognises Heather’s outstanding and continued dedicated service to the Scouting community. Heather is Group Lead Volunteer at 1st South Leeds & Morley (Beeston) Scout group and is a cornerstone of the group, providing unwavering support to both adult volunteers and young people alike. Her leadership, commitment, and passion has helped create a safe, inspiring environment for countless young people to develop vital life skills. The entire group extends their warmest congratulations to Heather on this well-deserved recognition of her hard work and inspiring dedication.”
And a Group Trustee added:
“Heather is a dedicated and supportive leader, She always gives her time to support young people and fellow volunteers, creating opportunities for everyone to grow and succeed. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication embody the values of Scouting, and she has made a lasting difference to many people over the years.”
