As some readers may remember, renowned Beeston-based bedmaker, Harrison Spinks, opened its doors to Gregg Wallace and Cherry Healy for an episode of Inside the Factory in August 2019. On Sunday (6 December 2020), BBC TWO will be re-running the programme to show consumers just how their mattresses are made.
The show follows the production of a pocket sprung mattress from the arrival of hard steel right through to soft bedding heading out of dispatch, including processes such as rearing sheep for wool for the mattress fillings and how each mattress is handmade by skilled artisan bedmakers.
Inside The Factory: Mattresses will re-run on Sunday 6 December at 6pm on BBC TWO. The episode will also be available on iPlayer for a further 30 days.
