Asha Preschool rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted

The Asha Neighbourhood Project‘s Preschool in Beeston was recently inspected by Ofsted who found it to be ‘Good’ in all areas, this follows last year’s judgement that it ‘Requires Improvement’.

In their report the Inspectors describe the setting as warm and welcoming, they continue:

“Overall, staff promote a good level of English. Parents confirm that their children are learning English quickly. At times, staff also switch into children’s home language. This helps children to feel settled. It also helps parents to feel welcome and makes sure that important communication about children’s care and learning is understood. Children benefit from the high level of one-to-one support. This means that staff get to know the children very well, and they often spend time interacting with children individually. The high staffing levels also provide a good level of support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).”

Chandra Ali from Asha commented:

“We are very pleased to announce our preschool at Asha has recently been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’. This comes after a lot of hard work by both our staff and the parents of our children who attend, so a massive thank you to all. Asha’s Preschool is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 2:30pm (during term time only). We are a small, friendly and inclusive setting where we offer funded places for children aged 2-4. We currently have places available so if you live in the South Leeds area then please give us a call or drop in for more information.”
