A Police investigation is underway following the discovery of the body of a woman, in the canal off Globe Road, Holbeck, at 4.45pm today (5 October 2017).
A scene was established and remains in place while enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. A forensic post mortem is due to take place tomorrow (Friday 6 October).
Detective Chief Inspector Jaz Khan, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “Our enquiries are at an early stage and we would like to hear from anyone who has any information.”
