Stephanie has joined the team at the centre as Travel Planning Co-ordinator and her newly created post will prove vital as White Rose prepares for expansion.

Centre Manager Dean Stratton says:

“The extension of the centre which involves a multi-screen cinema with IMAX screen, new restaurants and the creation of a new car park, will start later this year.  White Rose already has very good travel links which are popular and well used by our customers and Stephanie’s new role is to help promote and raise awareness of all of the ways by which shoppers, cinema goers, employees and any other visitors can get to and from the centre and, as required, utilise parking spaces for cars and bicycles.

“She will be working with Leeds City Council, White Rose centre retailers, transport service providers and all other interested parties.”

Stephanie, who lives in south Leeds, joins White Rose from  the Hunslet Club where she was Sport Development Co-ordinator.

She says: “My family and I know White Rose extremely well as we have been shopping here since it opened 18 years ago and it is great to be joining the team at this exciting time when I know that many people are looking forward to the fantastic new leisure facilities with keen anticipation.”

South Leeds Life understands that the expansion of the White Rose Centre will take place in phases over several years. The first phase will involve the creation of new car parking on land to the south of the centre. The second phase will see the building of the cinema, which is to be operated by Cineworld. Construction of the cinema is planned to start in April next year. Extensions to Primark and Debenhams will follow completion of the cinema in late 2017.
