Activities for all in Middleton Park this half term

The Friends of Middleton Park have an exciting programme for October half-term.  All our events are free and everyone is welcome, whatever your (dis)ability or ethnic background. Come and join us at the visitor centre!

On Sunday (24 October 2021) 2-4pm we start with Apple Day, led by award-winning apple grower Jim Jackson. He will be bringing along his apple press and lots of apples so that everyone can have a go at pressing and taste the juice
they’ve made. If anyone wants to bring their own apples, that’s fine. And do bring your own beaker or small bottle for tasting if you can. There will also be face painting and apple-themed arts and crafts.

On Tuesday 26 October, 1-3pm, ACE from Health For All will be leading outdoor games and sport for children up to the age of 16.

Wednesday 27 October, 12-3pm, sees the return of den building with Chris, always a popular event. Bring your favourite soft toy to share your den with.

Then on Sunday 31 October meet at 1.30pm for a guided walk round the Park. The Halloween based theme is “Death in the Park”, hear tales of historic deaths that occured within the Park. Wear your sensible shoes for a 90 minute walk.

The cafe is open until 2.15pm on weekdays and at least 3pm at weekends. Please bring your own mug for take-aways and your water bottle for re-filling. Help save the planet!

And don’t forget to pick up your exclusive Middleton Park 2022 calendar. The calendar features photos taken by visitors to the park and costs just £5. It’s available from the visitor centre at weekends or online via: www.etsy.com/shop/kudaknits
