Acre Court residents raise money for toy appeal

The Committee, Residents, and bingo enthusiasts of Acre Court assisted living complex in Middleton have fundraised for the toy appeal at the White Rose Shopping Centre.

They raised £250, but the total price of the toys they wanted to buy was £320. Thanks to B&M stores in Morley for their kind discount, which allowed more toys to be bought for the appeal.

Steve and Lesley said:

“Well after hearing about appeal for the toy donations as usual we set plans in order to raise the money. So we sold sweets and canned drinks at the nightly bingo, of which is four times weekly, and we also set our budget to raise £250 and that’s what we did and a little more.

“The toys will be taken down to the White Rose Centre, as soon as possible.”
