I have just had PCSO Claire Leech round and was in need of so help in organising a coffee morning at St Matthew’s Community Centre in Holbeck on Friday 28th September, writes Ian Pickup.
Her idea is to link in with the nationwide Macmillan Cancer Support ‘Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning’ event.
Our local event will start at 9am on that Friday finishing early afternoon.
Help is requested by turning up, baking cakes/buns, donating raffle prizes, publicity and general support.
Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. Macmillan is here to make sure no one has to go through it alone.
Whatever we do on this day will be helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer across the UK. Please help Claire make this local event a success.
