White Rose Shopping Centre is celebrating Yorkshire Day tomorrow (Wednesday 1 August 2018) with a series of fun free events for adults and children alike.
Bringing the rural countryside to Leeds, White Rose is hosting a mini tractor race, farm animal crafts, face painting, plus the main attraction: a Yorkshire pudding-throwing competition, with prizes for those who can throw it the furthest.
Nikki Appleton, Marketing Manager at White Rose Shopping Centre, said:
“We love celebrating Yorkshire Day here at White Rose – in previous years we’ve had the UK’s largest bouquet of white roses, and sheepdogs herding ducks… this year, we wanted to immerse our visitors in the Yorkshire way of life even more.
“We’re looking forward to seeing how far these Yorkshire puddings can fly.”
Events are free and take place in The Village, White Rose’s outdoor leisure area, from 10am-5pm on Wednesday 1 August.
