[slideshow]There may have been the odd blustery shower, but that didn’t stop thousands ofr people of all backgrounds from South Leeds and beyond enjoying the 18th Beeston Festival this afternoon.
Opened by Hilary Benn MP, the event boasted dozens of stalls from local groups, organisations and businesses, as well as raffles, tombolas and a fun fair.
The Beeston Decathlon carried an Olympic theme, and there was a variety of music on offer, including headliners Hope and Social.
A photohunt saw photographers take photos at the gala and nearby Holbeck Cemetery – the images from that will be collected over the next few days.
