Via Cllr Kim Groves:
Another successful prosecution at Leeds Magistrates this week by our team.
Dwaine Martin, a landlord from Bradford, flytipped this from a property he has in Beeston onto a Belle Isle street.
This has cost him £4,500.
Evidence and witness statements were gathered and as a result of the investigation LCC took Mr Martin to court, where he pleaded guilty to fly tipping offences under section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, where he was given the fine of:
Fine £3200.00;
Costs £1139.68;
Victim Surcharge £170.00;
Total £4509.68 – payable within 7 days.
Please help share and spread the news that flytipping will be prosecuted when we have evidence – and providing witness statements does help.
