St Luke’s Church, Malvern Rd, is hosting an RSPCA Animal Action Day on Thursday 19th April, 10.30 am -3.30 pm. Free health checkups, micro-chipping, flea and worming treatment are offered to all pets who come along on secure leads or in secure pet carriers. Low cost neutering vouchers are available for the pets of owners on means tested benefits.
Last year the Church was alive with dogs, cats as well as the odd ferret or two. Chris Butler, the vicar, comments:
“People are welcome to bring well behaved animals into our Church, but no horses please.”
