Construction work has started in earnest with the long-awaited revamp of Middleton Park.
The Friends of Middleton Park’s excellent Facebook group page has some excellent updates and photos of the work in the park so far, check it out here.
The steelworks for the new Lakeside Centre have going up. The group says:
“… It’s all getting exciting as you can now really see the changes that are happening. Have a look at the photos posted as they give a great indication of the size of the new building. I have also tried to explain what is planned for where!
“Elsewhere in the park, work has started on Hall Pond, where new boardwalks and paths are going in, on paths around the park and a new bridge on a path from near the lake, and work on the Rose Garden continues. Things are moving on so pass this on!”
