“The Hunslet Community Gala has become the highlight of the year for the local community and the volunteers do a fantastic job organising this brilliant event. Every year hundreds of people from Hunslet and the surrounding area visit to see what’s on offer. I am delighted that the local councillors have once again been able to fund the event. There really is something for everyone and I hope as many people as possible will be there this Saturday.”
Councillors Patrick Davey, Elizabeth Nash, Mohammed Iqbal and colleagues on the Inner South Community Committee have provided £1,000 to this year’s Gala. Hunslet Festival is also supported by Community First, Leeds Federated Housing and Eden Spring Water.
