Hunslet Club’s Youth Club goes from strength to strength

The Junior Youth Club at The Hunslet Club continues to go from strength to strength, with a record-breaking number of 126 young people attending this week. Welcoming so many children through the doors highlights just how important safe, welcoming spaces are for young people in Leeds. For many children, having somewhere positive to go after school, where they can meet friends, try new activities, and feel supported, can make a huge difference to their confidence, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.

At The Hunslet Club, providing these opportunities is at the heart of what we do. Our Junior Youth Club offers a safe and friendly environment where young people aged 8 to Year 7 can take part in sports, games, creative activities, and social time with their peers. With fantastic facilities and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, we are proud to provide a space where children can learn new skills, have fun, and simply be themselves.

Seeing the club full of energy and excitement on record-breaking nights is a powerful reminder of the impact youth provision can have in our communities. It shows that young people want and need places like this, and we are proud to continue opening our doors to support them.
