Are you not an adult? Do you like watching things? Do you like eating things? Do you like playing things? Then you are invited to the Kid’s Cabaret organised by Slung Low at The Holbeck club, Jenkinson Lawn on Saturday at 5pm. As usual it’s pay what you feel, children must be accompanied by an adult.
St Luke’s Tenants & Residents Association (TARA) have organised a Community Party on Sunday, 1-3pm at St Luke’s Church on Malvern Road, Beeston Hill. There will be food and drink, music, facepainting, games and more.
Bands in the Park continues in Cross Flatts Park on Sunday afternoon 2:30-4:30pm. This week the music comes from a steel band, there will be the usual kids crafting activities and refreshments from the café.
Hunslet RLFC host West Wales Raiders at the South Leeds Stadium. Kick off is at 3pm, tickets are £15, £10 concessions and kids under 16 are free.
On Tuesday the Queen’s Baton Relay reaches Leeds on its way to the Commonwealth Games. There will be flag-making, table tennis, mini-tennis, paddle-boarding and athletics on a pop up track at Leeds Dock from 4pm.
There’s an opportunity to meet your local PCSOs from the Neighbourhood Policing Team on Tuesday at Hunslet Community Hub & Library and on Wednesday at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library. Both sessiuons run 10am-12pm. In addition the Engagement Van will be on Top Moor Side in Holbeck on Thursday from 10:30am-12pm.
Middleton Elderly Aid’s film club will be showing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on Wednrsday at 12:30pm at their Scocial Centre on Acre Road.
And finally, for those wanting to brush up their public speaking skills, White Rose Speakers meet at Jury’s Inn Hotel at Brewery Wharf on Wednesday at 7pm.
