Local charity Health For All has celebrated its 21st birthday at a special event held at Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre in Middleton.
The event, which coincided with Health For All’s AGM, saw food, entertainment and a number of speeches celebrating the achievement of an organisation which started in an attic in Stratford Street and is now one of the largest independent charities in Leeds.
MP Hilary Benn and councillors Judith Blake and Angela Gabriel gave speeches on the success of Health For All over the years and paid tribute to chief executive and founder Pat McGeever and its staff.
Ms McGeever paid tribute to the communities of South Leeds who HFA have worked with over the years.
Health for All works in partnership with local government, health services and local people to engage with and improve disadvantaged communities. It uses community development approaches to help people identify unmet need and work with them to establish services in response.
