The perfect Christmas present for lovers of South Leeds’s hidden green gem, Middleton Park, has arrived. The Friends of Middleton Park (FOMP) have created a 2021 calendar with twelve spectacular photos showing the many facets of the park.
Alan Shaw, Secretary of the Friends of Middleton Park explained:
“Every year the Friends have considered whether we could put together a calendar. This year we ran a photography competition during lockdown to highlight how fabulous the park is, and it was very successful with lots of fabulous pictures sent on and a beautiful winner picked by the community.
“We decided that it would be great to show off those entries that received the most votes in a 2021 calendar. All the profit we take from the calendar will be plowed back into all we do as a charity.”
FOMP normally run a busy summer programme of free weekly events, sadly curtailed this year by Covid-19. They will however be running two free outdoor play sessions in half term on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October 2020, 1-3pm. Booking is essential for these sessions, go to Eventbrite here to book.
