Community-based care workers from Be Caring, a South Leeds based social care provider, has been serving up fully decorated Christmas trees to people who they support in South Leeds.
Claire Gibson, Quality Lead at Be Caring said,
“If you’re house-bound at this time of year it can be really difficult to get into the Christmas spirit. Our carers are often the only people available to provide for those who we support. So, the trees have been really warmly received.”
The idea came from Rachel Gardner, a Community Care Worker, who’s been with Be Caring for more than a year. She felt that some people who we support don’t have any family or neighbours to help get trimmed up for Christmas.
As Be Caring is employee-owned ideas and suggestions are encouraged from everyone in the organisation.
