Officers from the Leeds South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have been busy this week, making arrests and seizing drugs in Beeston.
Acting on community intelligence NPT officers, response colleagues and officers from Operation Jemlock attended an address in Beeston yesterday afternoon (10 December 2020). Two males were arrested, over 500 cannabis plants found and a substantial amount of Class A drugs were recovered. Enquiries are ongoing.
Earlier the same day, NPT officers conducted a Warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at another address and found a small amount of drugs. The occupant was issued with an out of court disposal
Officers patrolling the Beeston area on Wednesday (9 December 2020) spotted the vehicle pictured. They stopped it and spoke to the driver who it turns out was uninsured. There was a strong smell coming from the car, so they gave the driver a drugs wipe and arrested him on suspicion of drug driving. His passenger was also searched and issued a community resolution for possession of cannabis.
Two more arrests were made the same morning. One man for Failure to Appear at Court – Possession of Class A Drugs; and another man for Breach of Court Bail – Supply Class A Drugs.
Great to know these people growing cannabis plants get found out and arrested.
