Despite the presence of recent League 1 coach of the month, Keighley’s Paul March, and Hunslet assistant coach, Mark Cass, there was only one man that Stephen Pryce wanted in charge of the team he had assembled: former player, coach and fans’ favourite Roy Sammy Sampson. After a few stretches, a few press ups from Rudi and some barrier vaulting by Steevo. Sammy got the cones out and fierce contest enfolded as they all showed they had lost none of their skills, it was just oxygen they were lacking.

A small band of supporters watched the session and official legends photographer and die hard Hunslet supporter Paul Johnson of Pheonix Photographer Sports zoomed in on the action.

The game has a 1pm kick off on Sunday (3 January 2016) in a bonanza of Rugby League at ‘The State of Hunslet’ at South Leeds Stadium for the Testimonial of Chev Walker. Chev will be playing in his final game in the main game for Hunslet Warrriors v Hunslet Club Parkside, kick off 3pm, with a game between the two clubs’ under 7s and 8s between the two games, kick off 2.15pm.
