Crowds flocked to Middleton Park this evening (Friday 4 November 2016) for the annual bonfire and fireworks display. The free event was organised by Leeds City Council and sponsored by the White Rose Shopping Centre. The fireworks display was set off by competition winner Jermaine Burwell with help from Councillors

Anti Bullying Week 2016 is being held between 14-18 November this year. A few locals from Beeston, Sham, Awais and Yaz, have decided to get together and promote this event after receiving a small pot of funding. They are running a competition for children aged 5-18 from South Leeds. Children
