Middleton: ‘Love where you live’

A community-based operation, ‘Love where you live’, ran in Middleton recently, covering the Westwood estate, reports the Rothwell Neighbourhood Policing Team. The policing aim is to reduce burglary figures by making houses less attractive to burglars. During the day the NPT worked alongside 15 young police ‘explorers’ visiting over 590 addresses

Edible garden set for Cross Flatts Park, Beeston

Local primary schools will be getting green fingers in preparation for the planting of an edible garden at a park in Beeston today. The planting in Cross Flatts Park has been organised and funded by the Friends of Cross Flatts Park group, and is part of the Edible Cities project
