Zumba in Middleton Woods

Alan Shaw from the Friends of Middleton Park has been in touch, posting this on our Facebook page:

OK, something to look out for next weekend. Something to warm you up and get you moving after all this snow and ice. Yes, why not come down to the park’s Visitor Centre on Sunday week (27th January) and try your hand (or indeed your feet) at Zumba. If you don’t know (where have you been?), Zumba is a fun fitness programme that uses dance moves to help you work out.

The Friends of Middleton Park are offering a free Zumba session / class with Julie Gill (a qualified health and safety trained instructor). Just come along for a 2pm start to the Visitor Centre (leg warmers and tracksuits optional but clothing a must!). You will be asked to register on the spot and then away you go…for free!

We will be operating on a first come first served basis, and if we get too many for Julie to handle in one class / session we will try and fit everyone in by having several.

Come on, come down and see what Zumba is all about. Meet some new friends, or indeed bring a few, and see what is happening in the Park too.

We will be selling refreshments (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cakes, bicuits etc), both for those who want to take part and for those who don’t. See you there??
