In fact we took on two writers Stephen Clark and Tom Leak. Tom has now moved on as he has secured a sports writing job in London. We therefore have a vacancy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a rugby enthusiast. We need you to cover every game, home and away, the Hawks will provide match tickets and access to players, coaches and club officials. Your articles will be published on South Leeds Life and on the Hunslet Hawk’s website. There will also be an opportunity to pop down to South Leeds Stadium one evening every few weeks to interview the players for the official matchday programme.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about rugby league
  • Reliable – we need the reports within 24 hours
  • Available to go to every game

If you are nervous about your writing ability we can provide training and mentoring to help you develop your skills.

To apply for this (unpaid) position please email your details to info@sllife.leeds11.com and tell us why you are the right person for the job. We will then hold interviews before making the appointment.

South Leeds Life is keen to develop its sports reporting, so we are also looking for people who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about darts, boxing, football and cricket. If that sounds like you then please get in touch.
