Winter walks in Middleton Park

The Friends of Middleton Park 2023 guided walks start this coming Sunday (12 February 2023) with the second walk on Sunday 5 March.

These Winter Guided Walks will take in different parts of this very large Park depending on the weather, and the conditions under foot. Middleton Woods can be magical in snowy wintery conditions, and somewhat spooky in
mist and fog, and on clear crisp winter days some of the views over Leeds are spectacular.

With the mild weather there is more bird activity than normal at the moment, so bring a pair of binoculars along and see what you can spot. Whatever the weather the park provides ample opportunity for an interesting walk.

The walks start at 1:30pm at the Visitor Centre, Middleton Park, and usually last between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours. Walks in the park may often include muddy or wet wooodland paths, so please wear boots or walking shoes, and appropriate clothing.
