White Rose ice rink returns for 2024

White Rose Shopping Centre’s magical ice rink has returned for the festive season, this year in partnership with JD, open for family fun until 5 January 2025.

To celebrate the launch, White Rose is announcing a special charity event with ice hockey team Leeds Knights: from 4:45pm on Tuesday 3 December, guests can skate with members of the team after an exciting skills demonstration for a minimum cash donation of just £5, with all proceeds going to Leeds family charity Kidz Klub.

Tickets for the Leeds Knights skate event can be bought on-site from 4:30pm on the day on a first come, first served basis.

The rink is suitable for skaters of all ages and is accessible for all, with ice skates available to hire as well as penguin and seal skating aids for the little ones – or for those wanting an extra hand with their balance.

Disco Nights with fun music and lighting will be hosted every Friday, with regular Parent and Toddler skates and two-for-one offers, as well as weekly Quiet Sessions designed to avoid overstimulating lights and music.

Booking is advised, and the cheapest tickets are available online in advance.

Ashleigh Kellett, Deputy Centre Director at White Rose Shopping Centre, said:

“Christmas is such a magical time here at White Rose, and we’re so pleased to see skaters enjoying the ice rink underneath the festive lights once again.

“We’re hosting a variety of sessions to ensure the rink is enjoyable and accessible to as many guests as possible, and we know families will enjoy warming up with some festive refreshments at one of our restaurants after their time on the ice too.”
