We start this week in Beeston where Leeds Dads will be holding another free Soft Play session, 10am-12pm on Saturday morning at Little Angels behind the Tommy Wass pub, LS11 7HL. This for dads and pre-school children and there’s free tea and toast! Book: leedsdads.org/events
There’s a Coffee Morning at Hunslet Methodist Church, Telford Terrace, LS10 2HR on Saturday morning 10am until 12 noon, all are welcome.
On Saturday evening you can enjoy the songs of Dolly Parton, performed by Belinda Hallows at The Holbeck club, Jenkinson Lawn, LS11. The show starts at 8:15pm, tickets are £3 members, £5 non-members, £1 children.
Did you know that every month Holbeck Together host a two-course Sunday lunch at St Matthew’s Community Centre? It’s £5 for the meal – and £3.50 for transport – with home delivery also available. Call to reserve your meal for this Sunday: (0113) 245 5553.
Hunslet RLFC face North Wales Crusaders at South Leeds Stadium on Sunday, kick off is at 3pm. Match tickets are available online at: hunsletrflc.ticketco.events/uk
Two new groups are starting on Wednesday at the Hamara Healthy Living Centre on Tempest Road in Beeston, LS11 6RD. In the morning there’s gardening and woodwork from 10am, then at 2pm the Artful Minds group will explore different artistic techniques and materials. Both groups are free and open to anyone aged 17+. Don’t forget to vote on Thursday in the local elections. Polling stations are open from 7am-10pm, but you will need to take ID with you to vote in person or to hand in proxy votes. We got full details, including all the candidates, on our election pages.
MHA South Leeds host a coffee morning at Whincup Gardens, Hunslet Carr, LS10 2EF, on Thursday, 10am-12pm.
Hunslet Carr Residents Association meets on Thursday, 6:30pm, at Woodhouse Hill Community Centre, LS10 2EF
Also on Thursday, Beeston Community Forum meets at 7:30pm at Beeston Village Community Centre, off Town Street, LS11 8DQ.
There’s a legal advice drop in session at Middleton Elderly Aid, Acre Road, LS10 4JQ on Friday morning from 9:30-11am.
If you have any issues or questions for the Police why not drop in to Cottingley Community Centre for a cuppa with the PCSOs on Friday, 10am-12pm.
And finally, we will be distributing the May edition of the South Leeds Life newspaper from Wednesday. You can collect a copy from any of these 200 pick up points.
