Here’s a roundup of some the main events taking place over the coming week in South Leeds. For full listings go over to our What’s On calendar here.
We start on Saturday at Little Angels Playzone at the Sugar Refinery in Beeston where Leeds Dads will be hosting a free soft play session from 10am-12pm.
Also at 10am and also free, the Crochet Group will be meeting up at the Watsonian Pavilion in Cross Flatts Park. New members are always welcome and no prior experience is needed.
Then at 11am, the crocheters will be joined by the School Uniform Swap Shop. This is great place to find uniform items or donate unwanted items.
Hunslet Community Hub & Library will host a Family Film Club on Saturday, 11am-1pm. To mark World Empathy Day they are showing the film ‘Inside Out’. It’s suitable for children aged 7+ who must be accompanied by an adult.
On Saturday afternoon Hunslet Club Parkside, who are riding high in the NCL league, take on York Acorn at Station Moor opposite The Range, kick off 2:30pm.
There’s more rugby league on Sunday when Hunslet RLFC host North Wales Crusaders at the South Leeds Stadium, kick off 3pm.
If you’re struggling with technology why not pop into St George’s Community Hub & Library in Middleton for some one-to-one digital advice? There’s a session on Wednesday, 12-1pm, no need to book.
It’s Film Club at Middleton Elderly Aid on Wednesday at 12:30 when the main feature will be The Sound of Music.
Leeds Baby Bank will pop up at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library on Thursday, 10am-12pm. Drop in for advice and support.
And finally, are you living with pain? A support group meets regularly at St George’s Community Hub & Library in Middleton giving you the chance to speak to other people who understand what it’s like to have chronic pain. Their next meeting is on Thursday, 1:30-2:30pm.
