Local lad Wayne, discovers he is related to Arthur Louis Aaron the only soldier in Leeds to receive the Victoria Cross in the Second World War.
An enormous amount of credit must go to Julie Holmes leader of the Ancestry group, held at Belle Isle TMO every Monday 10am till 12pm and 1pm till 3pm.
Kenneth Ingram says:
Wayne would not have got this far into history without Julie’s help, who has helped me and others to find our ancestors, and what they got up to.
Acting Flight Sergeant Arthur Louis Aaron is remembered on the memorial to VC holders in Victoria Gardens near the Town Hall.
