Summer is fast approaching as our season of bands in Cross Flatts Park start on the 17th June for a six-week run, reports Beeston councillor Angela Gabriel.
We have some really good bands again this year. As you all will know this event is run entirely by volunteer from the community – and there are many different ways you can help, including:
- Setting up, which usually starts at 1.30pm
- Helping run some stalls i.e. tea /bric a brac to selling raffle rickets usually while event is on 2.30 til 4.30
- Clearing away usually 4.30 to 5ish depending on numbers of volunteers
- On the 1st July we are having our annual dog show so we need extra help with that
- And last but not least bake a cake for our tea stall
