The Cup runneth over in South Leeds this weekend!

The road to Wembley Stadium and the Coral Challenge Cup Final gets underway this weekend when two of our local amateur rugby league sides join the 50 other amateur teams in the 1st Round of the competition with home ties on Saturday afternoon (26 January 2019).

National  Conference League Premier Division Champions Hunslet Club Parkside take on Dewsbury outfit Thornhill Trojans at their Beza Street ground (opposite the Gardeners Arms) and NCL Division 3 side Hunslet Warriors are up against another West Yorkshire side, Featherstone Lions at Warrior Park (opposite Hunslet Morrisons).

Meanwhile there’s more local rugby league action as Beeston Broncos host Halifax side Illingworth in a Pennine League Supplementary Cup quarter final tie at their HQ at the playing fields at the bottom of Beeston Road,  behind Lane End Primary School in Beeston.

All three games kick off at 2pm, and there’s nothing like Cup action to generate thrills and excitement,  so why not get along to one of the games!

Saturday 26 January, kick off 2pm
