Support with parenting skills

Are you a parent who would like some help and support to understand child development; behaviour and relationships within your family?

A new 10 week course is starting at the Clapgate Primary School in Belle Isle. Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities is a popular evidence-based course, designed for anyone who is raising a child. The course will run on Wednesdays, 9:30am-12:30pm, starting on 21 February and cover:

  • Understanding your child and their development
  • Identifying factors that influence behaviour and strategies to support it
  • Developing a better relationship with your child
  • Encouraging positive communication within your family
  • Building positive family relationships
  • Managing anger and stress
  • Meeting others and sharing ideas

Participants who complete the course can earn a £25 Asda voucher and support may be available for childcare and transport.

There will be a drop-in coffee morning at Clapgate Primary School, Cranmore Drive, LS10 4AW on Wednesday (31 January 2024) from 9:30am-12:30pm. Please contact Sophie Carroll (below) if you would like to attend.
