Superheroes return to the Royal Armouries this half term

Families are invited to suit up for an action-packed February half term as the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds welcomes back its much-loved Superheroes event, returning by popular demand from 14–22 February 2026.

After proving very popular in previous years, the free family event is back with a full week of hands-on activities, live shows and creative fun designed to keep young visitors entertained from morning to afternoon.

Throughout the day, children can enjoy lively superhero storytelling sessions, with the all-new Super-Experiment show bringing science and spectacle together. Fans will also have the chance to meet their favourite superheroes during daily meet-and-greet sessions, the perfect opportunity to snap a selfie.

Creative kids can design their own heroes in the comic strip workshop, while those with energy to burn can take on the Super Soldier Selection assault course or train at the Superhero Academy. Families can also explore the museum together by following the Superhero Quest Trail through the galleries, solving clues to earn a special sticker at the end, making it a full day out for families looking for something different this half term.

The Superheroes event is free to attend, with morning and afternoon sessions available, but advance booking is recommended as demand is high. Donations are welcome to support the museum’s free programme of family events.

With its mix of imagination, action and creativity, Superheroes at the Royal Armouries promises a heroic half-term adventure for children and grown-ups alike.
