Middleton Railway are hosting another family friendly day a week on Saturday (10 August 2019) featuring superhero and princess characters in costume as well as face painting, painting of plaques and of course train rides.
Special fares will apply on the day at the award winning child friendly attraction, with two children travelling free with each adult. Diesel engines will pull trains from Moor Road in Hunslet up to Middleton Park between 11am-4pm.
The railway will also be open each Wednesday through the school holidays.
Middleton Railway is the oldest working railway in the world, have been built originally to carry coal from Middleton to Leeds. The museum at Moor Road station has many interesting displays including steam and diesel locomotives and carriages. Entry to the museum is free.
