St Mary’s Primary is ‘Virtually’ perfect

St Mary’s CoE Primary Academy, in the heart of Hunslet, is launching a new virtual tour for parents and carers of children who would like to join the school in September 2021.

The tour introduces everyone to life at St Mary’s, showcasing lots of exciting activities and the varied and extensive outside space.

The tour is a new venture for the school, which has just joined the highly successful Collaborative Learning Trust group of schools, increasing its focus on high standards and academic excellence, whilst also embracing the Christian values of respect, forgiveness, trust, kindness, thankfulness and friendship.

“Our new virtual tour, which is available on our website, is a fantastic opportunity for parents and carers to really get to know us.

“They have the chance to look round the school and see all the opportunities which children have at St Mary’s – from purpose built classrooms to our large playgrounds and grassed areas which the children use for play and PE.

“They can also really understand the caring atmosphere which we create for the children, so that they can learn in a safe and happy environment. We really would urge parents to have look before making the important decision of where to send their child for their primary school education.” said Headteacher Mark Ford.

The tour is available at www.stmarysprimary-hunslet.co.uk. Personal tours of the school are also available, by ringing (0113) 271 7204 or by emailing headteacher@hunsletstmarys.co.uk.

Collaborative Learning Trust schools place children at the very centre of everything that they do. As the name suggests, CLT schools work together to share knowledge, skills and expertise in order to secure the highest quality.

Janet Sheriff, CEO of the Collaborative Learning Trust and Headteacher at Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley comments:

“Across the Trust there are shared values and a shared approach to education. Our vision is for students to leave Collaborative Learning Trust schools having enjoyed their education and developed into lifelong independent learners with the creativity, adaptability, resilience and leadership skills to contribute to, and succeed in, our 21st century society.

“We are delighted to be working partnership with St Mary’s to develop this lovely school, which has been at the heart of its Community for many years.”
