Campaigners fighting to get South Leeds Sports Centre in Beeston reopened are plotting their next big protest event following a meeting earlier this week. Sally Cieslik writes:
The meeting on Monday went very well and our next event will be on the morning of Sunday 1st April 2012.
Planning for this has started already and we had our first meeting to plan out the route of the event. There will be a further planning walk next Wednesday 14th Dec , starting outside the Greenhouse at 10am – all welcome to come along and make sure we take in as much of our area as possible. We want to highlight all the empty and boarded up buildings in the area so if you know of ones we can pass then come along and show us!
The next sitting down(!) planning meeting will be held on MONDAY 9 JANUARY 2012 at a venue TBA.
