Never mind Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice and X Factor, it’s time for South Leeds Superstar!
The popular talent contest for young people is returning for 2012. Auditions are being held at schools across the area and there is also an open community audition taking place on Friday 1st June from 5:30 – 7:30pm at Beeston Village Community Centre (the old library building by Hugh Gaitskill Primary School). So if you are between 6 and 16 and can sing, dance, play an instrument, do cheerleading, gymnastics or have any other talent you should get down to the audition. Performers can be solo, in a pair or a group.
South Leeds Superstar organisers are also looking for judges at the semi finals and final, which will take place as follows:
- 1st Semi Final: at Beeston Festival – Sat 9th June – judging between 1:00-2:30pm
- 2nd Semi Final: at Belle Isle Gala – Sat 16th June – judging between 12:00-2:00pm
- 3rd Semi Final: at Hunslet Gala – Sat 23rd June – judging between 11:00-1:00pm
- Grand Final: at Holbeck Gala – Sat 21st July – judging between 1:40-3:40pm
