South Leeds Radio set to launch

A new community radio station call South Leeds radio is set to launch on Thursday (17 January 2019) with a party at the Old White Hart pub in Beeston.

The station, which will initially broadcast over the internet at www.southleedsradio.org.uk, has been gathering volunteers, honing skills and preparing programmes since last year and is now ready to launch.

Steve Thompson, one of the organisers said:

“There will be live music, you can meet the team, the presenters, refreshments will be available. So please come along, find out more and get involved.”

The radio station is based at the Beeston Skills Hub and South Leeds Life will be supporting the station by providing news content.
