When LS-TEN skatepark reopens after the lockdown it will boast new branding having run a competition amongst its members. Carl Harrison explained:
“We ran the LS-TEN logo competition following a suggestion from a member Charlie Halligan. Over the course of 3 weeks we had over a hundred designs sent in from a broad range of people including professional designers, university students, school children of all ages, teachers and other professionals. We narrowed the selection to 15 and put to a public vote which received thousands of votes to select a top 4. This was then judged by the UK Association of Skateparks to select Poppy Evans as the winning designer.
“We will be using the winning design throughout 2020 in all our promotional material, online presence and to create new merchandise some of which will be going on sale soon in an attempt to raise funds to support our plans to reopen the skatepark as soon as possible once we are allowed to and have the new COVID-19 measure in place.
“All those that entered designs will receive prizes and there will be displays around the centre when we reopen of all the finalists.”
