Singing for Isla

The Middleton Minstrels Community Choir – performing as A Choir’d Taste – are giving a Christmas concert at the Tenants Hall next Friday (16 December 2016). Doors open at 6.30pm.

There will be light refreshments, tombola and a raffle for a picnic basket filled with goodies.

We are giving the concert in aid of Isla Smith, a local little girl suffering from a severe form of epilepsy, so that her family can get some safety equipment for her bedroom.

There is no entrance fee but we are suggesting a donation of £2 person (excluding children).

If you can’t make it on the night, would you consider a donation anyway? The link for giving is:

Thank you.

About the Middleton Minstrels

Love to sing and have fun? The Middleton Minstrels do. We are an inclusive and friendly women’s singing group.

Our ethos is very much about inclusion. Women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds will be welcome and there is no requirement for members to read music or to have any previous experience.

We want to sing all kinds of songs from classical to pop, folk and rock, covering everyone’s taste. Members will also benefit from lessons all about breathing and vocal technique from an accomplished tutor. The aim is to learn how to improve your singing voice whilst meeting new people.

We believe that everyone can sing given the right conditions and environment.

We hold a two-hour session every Friday from 10am to 12pm at the Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre, Middleton (off Middleton Park Avenue, opposite the school and behind the Middleton medical centre.)
