South Leeds Life is launching its third Community Reporters Course for residents in South Leeds.
During the ten week course you will learn everything you need to know to start reporting for South Leeds Life, including:
- Writing a news story
- Writing headlines
- Taking better photos
- Using video and audio
- The role of social media (Facebook and Twitter)
The course will run every Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30pm at South Leeds Community Radio in Beeston and starts on Tuesday 25th June.
As the course is running in the evening over the summer period, there will be some negotiation with students over dates and times. So if you are interested, but need a later start, or an earlier finish, or you have holidays booked, please get in touch to discuss.
No experience is needed, but being able to use a computer is helpful.
The course is free, but you do need to book a place as we are expecting high demand. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring Jeremy on 07894 583966.
If you’re able to publicise this course by putting our poster on your noticeboard, please download it here: Community Reporters poster eve
