Season’s Greetings from Middleton Breeze Friday Night Project

We have some exciting new activities on for the last few weeks of 2011 with clay-mation workshops; create your own crazy characters and put together a short movie, learn some dance moves for the Christmas party season with D.A.Z.L dance, get creative for Christmas and come and enjoy some fun and food at our end of year celebrations in collaboration with Leeds Baton Rouge. We are lucky to have Leeds Baton Rouge showcasing the tiger-pom routine for the first time and offering the Friday Night Project members a chance to have a go! There will be games, challenges and party food and a chance for the two groups to share in Christmas celebrations.

The Breeze Friday Night Project has now reached 3 years of running (we opened in November 2008) and the project is proud to have a regular cohort of young people accessing the provision with an average of 71 young people attending weekly.

The last session before Christmas is on Friday 16th December 2011. We wish everyone a wonderful yuletide and look forward to seeing our club members; new and old in 2012. We hope to be celebrating in the New Year as some of our longest members will be reaching their 100th session!! Our first session back will be held on Friday 6th January 2012.

Breeze Friday Night Project works in partnership with local agencies including: Leeds City Council’s (LCC) Out of School Activities Team, South Leeds Health for All: ACE Project, NACRO, LCC Youth Services, LCC Middleton Leisure Centre, West Yorkshire police and Community Safety. We would like to thank all our partners for continuing to support us in these hard times to deliver a diversionary project for the young people of Middleton at a time when anti-social behaviour is known to be high.
